Pic story of headmaster in Zhenghe County, Fujian

Headmaster Zhuang Guigan and his wife Liang Chun'ai pose in front of the Xijin She Ethnic Group Primary School in Zhenghe County, southeast China's Fujian Province, March 1, 2021. As the only boarding school for primary students at the village level in Zhenghe County, Xijin She Ethnic Group Primary School is a "home away from home" for about 160 students, nearly half of whom are left-behind children. Headmaster Zhuang Guigan, together with his wife Liang Chun'ai, teaches knowledge as well as works as a baby-sitter for 83 boarding students living on campus. They take care of the students in their daily life, from morning calls, breakfasts, classes, until bedtime. They are affectionately called "Grandpa Headmaster" and "Grandma Liang" by the children. A total of about 2,000 left-behind children have graduated from here over the years. And with the support of local government and the society, the environment and faculty of this boarding school have been continuously optimized. (Xinhua/Jiang Kehong)
